I've wound mine all the way down and find it bouncy and harsh. But never drive the car and I don't intend on winning races when I take it out anyway.

The way I look at it is, the mk3 will handle crap when lowered 100mm on any coilover you fit. So why waste money on a good set?

I got FK's on my vr and there isn't any difference when all the way down. But the vr is set a bit higher at the mo.

Yeh true point about winding them down the front lip must take a beating at 100mm

Im on Joms from the previous owner. A fair way down, bumpstops cut to about 5-8mm thick as i was riding on them 
Only thing is my front passenger has started knocking, iv replaced everything on the front end apart from the coilover and iv heard a few have had the same problems across the range.
But without a doubt for the money you cant go wrong tbh

Depends if you want looks or performance/handling.  I would not lower my car anymore then 40mm as it would

just mess up the handling.  Very true tho.  If you want it 100mm low then any cheap coilover will do.  When i

upgrade my suspension in the future I will be going for handling with Bilstein B8's and H&R springs.  That set

up will be about £800 plus tho

So if you get these coilovers and leave them at 30mm would you get a benefit mine is at 60mm with crappy red springs if i go round a corner thts meant to be a 30 mph corner i go round it at 50mph i can feel my car tires loosing grip almost feels like ur sliding and when i center the wheel i get a nasty sway which flicks my wheel the other way is this because of being at 60mm and red springs with stock damper

Stock dampers are shocking! They are under damped for the standard spring! Must handle like sh!t with stiff 60mm springs.

Jon coilovers at 60mm drop would be a big improvement over your setup.

Yes it is bad low speed i dont notice but when going fast like those motor way corners its like when u turn the wheel u expect the car to be turning were the position of the wheel is no it feels like its turning but also trying to go in a straight line its hard to explain but it awfull plus i dont think these infinity tyres are any good they are always wheel spinning i would understand if i was running 300hp but im 115 hp lol

Sounds like your rear beam bushes are worn out and need replacing too.

Shouldn't be tight on the things that keep you alive! You can get 4 toyo t1r's for £130 from eBay.

Could the bushes be picked up on mot as when i was a mechanic at work we didnt pick up the rear bushes on the one man testing station on the play detectors (the rear bushers are a complete ass to do i never got to do a set but seen em being done on a mk4) the tyres i will have to get a new set when those wear down a bit is that price brand new not part worns

Without driving it I couldn't say for sure. If you pushed the rear end of car side to side and get a lot of movement then they are shot. But it might not be them.

Sorry price has gone up since last time I bought a set, but still only £150
