Anyone know what size bolts are holding the battery tray ?

Sweet thanks bud. Will be replacing tray tomorow but i have mising riotchet bits
so want makesure have the tools before have a go
i have 10mm so fingers crossed

If it has a wire underneath the tray and i clipped in make sure u clip it bk to tge new tray as it stops it from rubbing

The wire just stops it from rubbing? Im going to take battery and cover all out till im left with the tray and have a proper look. Think i will need some wd40 on the bolts

Sorry the battery tray has a groove to stop the wire underneath from rubbing against the car as it is a live wire if it rubs it will short on the body and melt

Had to get a replacment battery and turned out it was to big fit in standard small mk4 battery box. So sourced a disel one. Looks nice and covered again now
