« on: 05 April 2013, 18:37 »
hey guys.

right can some please post me a picture off the full front hub assembly from a vr6 and a standard set up from an 8v. or explain to me the physical differences. i know the brake discs are a bigger diameter on the vr's but what about calipers ect?

really appreciate any input on this.

Ok i know for a fact that the cv joint spline on the 8v is smaller that the 16v so the hub will be smaller.
Brake disc size before 96 are 280mm (correct me if im wrong) on the later 8v (anniversary and so on) have 288mm discs also the front calipers are ate (on mine they are (anniversary) if yo want pics go on to ebay and type in vr6 hubs etc

Hope this helpa u

P.s what are yo trying to do?

hub's are identical on all the 5 stud's

upto early 95 the 8v had 280mm discs and then changed to 288mm (same as the VR6), main difference except the disc size is the calliper brand ATE for 280's and Lucas for 288's oh and the type of abs (280's have the abs ecu under the rear seat...on 288's it under the bonnet)
