noobie with an 8 valve mk4 GTi...
« on: 04 April 2013, 16:10 »
Just starting out again with VW.
Used to be proud owner of G777MWJ back in the day....an 8v supercharged Golf Rallye. (210 bhp)
Might work my way up to an R32 one day.
Have a brouchure for the standard Rallye if anyone wants a photocopy....

Only have one photo and too much aggro to upload here. Maybe another day!

I guess its strictly speaking not a GTi...just like my recent purchase this mk4 Golf 2.0 - I understand why its not quite a GTi but its still a very nice car. Dunno why so many are moaning about it on here.

The G60 Rallye was so well mannered that my mum and my gf at the time used to drive the left hooker and loved it. Took it to Dublin and it was nicked in the middle of the night from a secure parking area and wrapped around a lamp-post with £3000 worth of damage. I had to bring it back on a space saver at 50mph. I lost my job and the car....Sad ending Im afraid!

Wouldn't worry about all the non 2lt lovers here! You are right...it's slow...but who cares the maximum speed we can all do legally is 70mph lol

Enjoy the car!

Ah don't worry to much about the negative comments fella, just take it with a pinch of salt in one ear and out there other so to speak...

As long as your happy pal that's all that counts at the end of the day!
