Bora temp issues

Little help if u can I've got a 2001 bora 1.6 that I want to sell car runs fine apart from when driving the temperature reading  doesn't move,but if i pull over the guage starts to go up after a minute or 2 will go back down again if I start driving again
So would u say it's temp sender or themostate
Want to get sorted before It goes

Thermostat would be the first thing I would check. If theres somebody close to you try get it plugged in.
Will always love my mk4 but she had to go...225 Quattro TT in its place....but its still black (she lives on in spirit!)

The sender is the likely candidate if it sits on 0. If it sits about 70-80 when moving its likely to be the thermostat.
