Window comes off!!!

My passenger side electric window keeps getting stuck at the bottom of its travel. the motor turns but its as if it can't quite catch and just spins. I've taken the door panel off and cangive the window a "helping hand" until the motor picks something up and the window will go back no problem. It then drops off again next time.

At the moment I've put a tie wrap around the bottom of the slide to stop it going all the way down - hopefully this is only temporary!!

Any ideas on how to fix it properly???

sounds like its got a worn mechanism at the motor end to me. You can buy repair kits from VW. there is a 'how to' on ve e dub bers.co. uk (am i allowed say that)

has the window regulator cable got any slack on it?
