Totally agree F1's not cheap but so far much better than factory fit Dunlops.
VW dealer originally quoted £298, I said that's a good price until he said thats for each one, I told him he should be wearing a mask

Eventually got the Eagle F1's from local tyre dealer who supplied and fitted two new front tyres for £300.

Yes a bit steep but wheels are 19's and I am in Aberdeen where everything is expensive, but compared with the VW stealer they were a bargain

Yep the £125 a corner is priced on 18s so I wud imagine 19s wud be a little dearer as you said, worth every penny in my view...

Oh I see didn't realise you had 19's. £300 doesn't sound too bad then!

Really interesting reading here guys.

I am a real Conti fan, but had PS2's and PS3'S on the Mk5 before going to Conti's, and then the Mk6 came on Conti's, but I have so often been tempted by Goodyears, so I reckon a change may be in the offing.

They may even tempt me off the planned purchase of the Nankang ditchfinders .... (not really)

My front tyres are nearly on the marker. Are they still legal or should I change them ASAP?
