Sick of today. Clutch problems!!
« on: 30 March 2013, 19:28 »
Ok so my golf (GT TDI 150 ARL) is having a lot of clutch problens. It started with the pedal going to the floor, once bled it was ok until I gave it a boot, then soft and too the floor sgain and giving a crap pedal.

So I tried a clutch master cylider, didn't fix the problem.

Then my clutch started to slip, so I thought it must be internal, so today I fitted a new sachs dual mass flywheel, clutch kit and slave cylinder. Bled again and pedal seemed ok.

Drove home, clutch still slipping?! Wtf?!

The only it can be now is the pipe going from the master to the slave?

I'm at my witts end with it so any help would be much appreciatef!!

Cheers, Hoggy.

its not the pedal itself is it ? if the welds fail (common) it goes to the floor , but your symptoms sound like maybe the pushrod is somehow not seated in the pedal right , therefore clutch is slightly pressed but you wont notice it in the pedal (if that makes sense)

Pedal isn't snappednor anything :)

And it doesn't slip all the time..  :undecided:

Clutch pedal is light but its new so it will be I suppose?

I've heard these clutches need a bit of bedding in to get used to the torque too?

Cheers, Hoggy.
