Morning All,

Just thought I'd say hi, bought my first golf on eBay this week and I'm off to pick it up this morning! Its a 1.8 gl J reg and looks clean from all the pics I got the guy to send me  just hoping it'll make the hour and a half drive back from Cheshire OK!!!

No major plans for t yet other than getting it nice n low and a nice set of rims on the old girl  happy days...

I'll let you know how the journey home goes, you never know could give you a good laugh!
Cheers Lee

Well I picked up the car yesterday and she isn't quite as clean as the pics made out but it's nothing major and she's solid in all the right places, main marks are untreated stone chips, a bit of lacquer peel on the bonnet, a bit of rust on the door sill on one side and that's about it!

All in all she's a good un for a 22 year old car! Interior is super retro and I think I'll be keeping it that way, there's just something about it :-) will no doubt be a set of coilovers and some rims next, Ronal Turbos I think, always liked em!

Runs like a dream, box is nice and tight... Ooh err... Auto choke works, and it got me back from Cheshire to Preston on less than quarter of a tank!

Only paid £420, the guy had put 2 new tyres on and plus a new tyre on the spare and then gave me £20 back for juice!!!

So all in all an absolute bargain and I'm over the moon, got I be the bargain of the century. Pics to follow tomorrow once I get em off my phone on to the laptop.

One very happy man
