Problem with depo projectors
« on: 27 March 2013, 10:49 »
Before Christmas I bought a set of r32 style projectors from fk thinking it would be a good mod for the golf. When I opened the box the adjuster brackets that link to the motors were broken. I contacted fk and they basically told me in broken English to get lost; according to them I must have broken them myself when installing them rather than it being a manufacturing/ transport problem.

I've tried epoxy resin to stick them back together and the one was ok. But the problem is that the passenger one is being a git and won't go back together. Does anybody know where I can get a replacement bracket from? Has anyone else suffered this problem?

Thanks guys.

I bought mine from a UK based company, they also arrived broken. I gave them a call and they sent a courier the next day with a replacement set and collected the broken ones.

I'd be complaining to FK again to be honest.

sounds like shocking customer service!

Now you have added epoxy to them though, it will look like you broke them and have tried to repair them.

I would still call someone at FK and speak to someone about their complaints procedure
ARZ K03s, Oettinger Side Skirts, R32 front, Carbon stage 2, Forge 007p (yellow spring), Forge Actuator (yellow spring), Pipercross panel filter with DSG parts, N249 and N112 deleted, SAI deleted, Carbon canister deleted, Rear wiper deleted, Long Life turbo back custom exhaust with 200 cell sports cat, VR6/G60 clutch kit, Creation Motorsport TIP, Catch can, 'Wellycooler', K04 charge pipe, S3 ported inlet manifold - looks pretty standard on the outside though :)

Thanks guys, I have re contacted them today about it, but after being told that I couldn't do anything last time I thought well I'm not, not using them as they look like a cracking set of lights. It looks like that adjuster bracket is made from the cheapest plastic possible though.

I just wondered if anyone had any ideas where replacements could be found or if anyone made anything that sorted it.

Cheers mate, I won't be using them again either that's for sure. They were a nice gift from the wife so she wasn't too happy to say the least either.
