Cheers, Ive scanned it and got code 17963 Intermittent overboost.
I've checked the hoses around the N75 and they seem ok, new N75 has arrived so i'll fit tonight.

I got if from VW dealers so I assume they would've ordered the latest version available? didnt confirm whether it was F or E.  Is there a high chance that N75 is causing this code?

Thanks

could be a boost leak somewhere causing that code

might be worth getting a leak test done before buying an N75

The n75 controls the boost to ensure that the car does not over boost. So my first thought would be a faulty n75. Fit your new one, clear the code and give it a few drives usually takes my car 2-5 days for codes to come back if I haven't fixed them.

Btw how much did it cost you from VW? And yes it would be the latest one look at the part number on the unit. It will ether end in J or E. if its E that's the most recent.

Boost leak would throw up 17705.

Can I clear the codes with VCDS lite?

It cost £75. But when I checked the part number he said it ended in A?! I knew that wasnt right so they've order the right part now that ends in E, he said it's the newer version from F.

Apaarantly N75 can refer to a few different valves so it didn't narrow it down enough. New one is on the way though, I'll fit it tomorrow.

Thanks

boost leaks leak oil, that's what you are looking for on any pipe that carries boost, there aren't that many, they come from the inlet manifold (boost ports are underneath) and the turbo/parts attached to the turbo.
ARZ K03s, Oettinger Side Skirts, R32 front, Carbon stage 2, Forge 007p (yellow spring), Forge Actuator (yellow spring), Pipercross panel filter with DSG parts, N249 and N112 deleted, SAI deleted, Carbon canister deleted, Rear wiper deleted, Long Life turbo back custom exhaust with 200 cell sports cat, VR6/G60 clutch kit, Creation Motorsport TIP, Catch can, 'Wellycooler', K04 charge pipe, S3 ported inlet manifold - looks pretty standard on the outside though :)
