hello all I am after a replacement filter for my gti 8v ive spoke to matey on the forum whos got the k&n add and hes said he cant find one for the panel filter im sure that ive seen them for my gti in the mags. he wants to know if one from another year or model will fit but iam unsure any help would be gratefull...

There is defo one... it's about 35 quid for just the element or you could get the induction kit for 60 odd.

You can get the straight panel replacement from GSF.
12300 K+N AIR FILTER G2 1.8 8v F.Inj 8/83 >2/87 ?32.50

cheers lads ill folloe that up thanks rich. jv i was told that the induction kit isnt all that much kop because it suks in to much hot air...
ive seen a k&n charger which looke smart its on the k&n website but dont think that they do one for my golf have a look and see what you think

Harr1s, thats what I have heard too, stick with the original setup with a straight panel replacement IMHO.

It depends what car you have if it is a mk3 8v with a hitachi or semens airflow sensor K&N dont make them but piper cross do the two airflow sensors are the same just different names, they are run by the same company
