i went out this morning to check if there were any loose wires or tubes disconnected and came across this one. i had a look at where it could possibly be connected to and saw this nipple. am i right to connect it to it ?
and heres the nipple is found ...

looking at it, yes but I am not too clued up on the 2.0 engine, it would make sense at its a breather

its a breather mate and its connected to your Thottle body. It defo seems like it connects there as per the picture below..

I would also take off your Thottle body and clean it out with carb cleaner that fixed a number of problems with my golf.

i'd connect that back really, asked my mate who has the 2ltr and he laughed and asked how slow your going, advice would be to get a silicone pipe to replace it
