Rear callipers - Size
« on: 21 March 2013, 16:07 »
Considering get some old crappy rear callipers to refurb along some old fronts I have...But if I was to consider the 256 upgrade down the line will I need the callipers to go with, or like the fronts and the 312s are the rear callipers interchangeable, and it is just the carrier and disk that changes?

Many thanksssssssssssssssssssssssss

no it's the whole caliper and carrier as the 256mm is vented, 232mm is solid

doubt you would notice any gains , but they do look better. However bleeding the system is a bloody nightmare if you have a good pedal now leave well alone lol

Try and get a set from some of the front wheel cars. I think I remember seeing a post where you need spacers to fit ones from 4 wheel cars like the 4Mo because there's a slight difference in there rear set up.  They will still fit all the same but might save you some bother if you can get them.
