Has anyone had any experience of using Terraclean on a diesel Mk6?  Seems to be getting a lot of press at the miniute and some very good reviews.  Just intrested of anyone has any experience of using this on their GTD or TDI GT140?

Do you have problems?

I haven't seen any examples of where this has removed baked on carbon on inlet valves and couldn't see any on the Terraclean website...

Generally the carbon has to be removed by hand which is an extensive job.

If you had emissions problems then it might help.

No problems with my car at present, but it is advertised as a preventative measure as apposed to a remedy to a problem.  Saying that a friend of mine recently bought a 2006 BMW 520d which drove very well and had no issues.  He used Terraclean as a preventative measure but as a result his car is quieter, certainly feels more lively and is returning better MPG.  Dont really know enough about it just trying way up wether this is worth doing?

It struck me that many of the testimonials were along the lines of " my car seemed to run better", "seemed to have more power" and so on. I'd be wanting to see some objective 'before and after' data or some third party testing before I'd open my wallet.

I dont think I would waste money pouring stuff into my car. Sometimes a little carbon is a good thing.

I can report My Edition 30 2.0TFSI now has improved its mpg, its cold start lumpiness , and spools up much smoother.
I put Intake Valve cleaner also down its throat to do the induction side, and its made a world of difference.

money well spent and will be doing it every year from now on.
