Very illegal on an E reg car,  you can legally have them on a car pre 73 (I think). I've got black and silver on my camper and there's sod all they can do about it.
......now officially dubless.

legally i can run them on my car if i want as its registered in the Isle of Man (years tax is only £88 ;))

manx cars registered before 92 can run black n silver plates. i used to have them on my old white one. ill see if i can dig a pic out - its looked pretty cool with them on!!

i recently bought a 91 oak green 8 valve off my mate who brought it back from guernsey where he worked for a year. even though i did register it in england i still kept the black and silver plates on it. that was about three months ago!! police have noticed them, but haven't pulled me over! are these okay to leave on as the car was registered in guernsey? i'll keep 'em on til i get told/ordered otherwise!! what do you guys reckon??!
