Hi guys I'm thinking about going down the k04 road, I have done alot of work and spent quite a bit of money on her. It's up to 229 bhp on a aum lump. I was wondering how much more I would get out of a k04 turbo and what addtional parts I would need and what k04 to go for.My other concern was its on 103000 on the clock will a bigger turbo cause more stress to the engine.

Any help is much appreciated. Thanks

Toby hit 300bhp and he done more miles than you, get a k04 off a s3 plus Theresa one in the classified section that worth the money

Go on my project build thread or Tobys and you will see whats needed. The only difference between mine and his was a relentless manifold, downpipe and got them mapped in different places.

P.s: I wouldnt chase 300 brake on an AUM, toby had an AGU - alot stronger....my old AUM block didnt really hold itself well on a KO4 stage 1 map when I upped the boost...

Was there alot of difference from your k03s too the k04. Is it too much for the front wheels.

To be honest mate, there is on the stage 2 but on the stage 1 round town not so much as the ko3s spools up alot quicker but when on the motorway etc its bye bye betty...

Sometimes I actually do miss my KO3s on a stage 2 map. Its not too much on the front wheels but thats because I got gear based boost on my map which my mate did for me so basically Im not on FULL boost 1st and 2nd, but its just enough to get traction so it actually goes faster....its weird lol  :grin:
