Tablet console install?

Thinking of doing a tablet dash/console install this summer when I get the time

The best place would probably be where the fans and the headunit currently is.. Anyone have any experience in this? Seems to me you could do it and still retain one of the fans, if you'd turn it 90 degrees and fit in in the side.

seems like a fair bit of work tho :p.

I would probably be connecting the tablet to an amp under the seat or wherever and then also install a volume rocker next to the tablet to control output of amp (can't be controlled over aux by tablet)

you've been watching MCM on youtube havent you XD i think a large tablet is too big for a mk3, maybe a ipad mini or something equivilant

Exactly MCM is the frickin best show on youtube... those guys are brilliant. yeah was thinking along the lines of ipad mini - hopefully the second hand ones will see a price drop come summer - or nexus 7.

I considered it, but looking at the prices, a 7 inch tablet is just much more affordable plus better as a gps due to larger screen.. i love the episode on MCM where they do exactly this project..

I like the idea but and the finish looks decent on the one pictured but it's ridiculously big,
