confusion with roof / door seal
« on: 18 March 2013, 19:35 »
Evening all,

I'm a little confused as to how to stop water coming in the car as its soaking my seat belt.
The car is a 3 door, and the front doors have seals all around the edges. As there are no rear doors there is just the seal that runs along the roof . The problem is that mine are missing so the rain is entering the grooves and running straight down into the hole where the front door seals starts.

My question is ... If I were to buy the rear seals, how do I join them to the front seals to stop them leaking again ?

Sorry if these questions are boring but I'm new to all this LOL

No mate I havnt got a sunroof.  It's got to be the door seal as my seatbelt is soaking at the top when fully pulled out. And when I looked I saw that in the corner  of the doorseal there is a perfectly round hole through the centre as if a bung is supposed to be there or something similiar which made me think that the seal from the roof at the back may have had an extra piece that was pushed into the hole so it could be butted up flush.

But as I'm missing it I can't tell what it's supposed to be like.
