Possible new golf owner MK4
« on: 18 March 2013, 13:52 »
Neever owned a golf before but on the market for one. I have found a 53 plate GT TDI130 with 124k on the clock, black, 18" alloys, cambelt last done at 61k, last service at 101k. Seller wants 2895 but got him down to £2650. Any advise, is this something to get?

Those wheels are  my ant had one of those 52 plate GT TDI 130 and it had full service history all standard except the longlife and it had tinned windows. Was my cuz before her and he had it from about 61k when she sold it at 96k she let it go for £2500. And that was with tax and mot.  124k on a diesel is like 60k on a petrol only just run in. But I would look at the belt to be done again. Speak to him and see if he will come down abit more to fund your belt these cars nowadays on auto trader these GT 130's are on there from £900 but if I wanted a mint one I'd expect to pay £2000 but no more. But hey that's me :)

Daily car, my Mondeo TDCI 130 was written off when someone decided it would be a great idea to hit me from behind at 50 so i`m on the hunt for a daily car.

Cheers,
