This has just happened to me
well it is 21years old, i'm paying to get it swapped, as you have to take the dash out & it's a pain in the a$$ of a job i'm told

A mate of mine did mine for mr recently, and it took a good 6+ hours in all. I know some people reckon that they can do whole thing in under an hour, but I guess tne more you do the faster it becomes.

half way done old one out i just need a new one and it be done in a few hours ill admit if you havent done it before can take hours i was at it from 10am toto about 3pm although in this time i did take the missus to work and pick her up that was a few hours but my dad was havign ago in my absence the problem being one of the bolts just kept turning and wouldnt undo so took a while so we didnt break nothing but id say about an hour if you really rush it but 2 at the most and you do have to remove the whole dash only the centre console really but both bottom parts is a good idea for room ill write a quick how to when im finished.
