Would a bad sensor always throw the EML on or is it possible
for the light to stay off but the sensor be bad anyway?
My car smells terrible when 1st started and if I rev it there is a few puffs of black smoke which smell of pure petrol,
Once cleared it doesn't happen again until the car has been sat for about 8 hours.
I did think it could be a leaking injector but surely that would cause the fuel pressure to leak down to zero making it hard to start?
What else could it be?
There are no codes stored, Only the 'Maximum Charge pressure limit exceeded' which I get
if I drive it hard.
This is on a 1.8t
