Was lurking the Internet to find out what other people thought about the powerflex bushes. Anyhow some how I ended up on the corrado forum.

Some people say OE bushes are better then powerflex, apparantly the OE bushes on the corrado help the rear steer into the corner has it flex's the rear beam. Is it true?

Could it be the same case on the MK3?

I've heard this before, the rear beam is supposed to give a certain amount of 'steer' under hard cornering but poly bushes are too hard to allow this, some also say that they contribute to a harsher ride especially on coilovers.
Most seem to use them because they are easier to fit than oem beam bushes.

True, after reading about them, people scrap them and go back to OE. Was speaking to my mechanic and he says we've had loads of MK2 lads i here who complain that the ride is too harsh. so i'm going OE.

Powerflex rear beam bushes is one of the best mods I've done to my Mk3.
Get rid of the soggy standard rubbish and fit something that allows the car to change direction accurately.
I also noticed no real increase in harshness when I fitted them.

My mechanic has moaned his bag off that i bought febi and not powerflex because they are a pain to fit, and hes put off fitting them for this reason which i why im still driving round with my coilovers in the boot. i did alot of searching before i bought them and yes alot of people said it makes the ride harsher, so because its for my daily i went with the majority and bought OE. It will end up costing me more to do so as any money i saved on the bushes it will cost me double in fitting.

I'm not disagreeing with you EssThree, you prob drive yours harder than i do so you will appreciate the more precise feeling it gives you.

My rear shocks are shot anyway so theres no harsher ride than mine at the moment, banging over the slightest bumps! can't wait for my suspension swap in a week or so.

True, My mechanic said the same thing, but he said i'll do them at £50 each side. Now i dont know if thats cheap or expensive. But i'm getting them done  Btw my ream beam mounts ar the ones that are shot.

£50 a side is quite reasonable considering the labour hours involved.

^This...they can be a swine so i'd say thats pretty reasonable.
