Newbie with a couple of problems

Hi People
I'm a newbie from west sussex

I Have a black 2002 mk4 gt tdi 130 in black had the car a few months now and i love it, How ever i have a couple of problems and was wonder if any one can help.

1st problem is my car when i start it up runs very lumpy, and smokes alot ( it's worse now that i've fitted a pipercross panel filter)
that car runs soo lumpy that some times it almost stalls whilst idling. can any one suggest what i can do or point me in thee right direction.

the 2nd problem is i have 25th anniversary wheels on my car what have been quite badly corroded and kerb my previous owner, what colour should i refurb them into??

buy a vag com OBDII cable from ebay (only a few quid) and if its not included with the cable download vcds lite from the rosstech website, scan your car for fault codes, post them here. That will at least give you and us a pointer in the right direction.

Check your MAF first if it runs like crap its normally a fueling problem, the mafs are very temperamental.

With regards to your wheels on a black mk4 Anthracite always goes down well.
Will always love my mk4 but she had to go...225 Quattro TT in its place....but its still black (she lives on in spirit!)

Agreed, the PD130 is a much better option!

As for the wheels, they need to be done in Aeromax for that original Anni finish. Anything else looks wrong!
