Let's get this straight guys and gals. There seems to be lots and lots of confusion.

16v ABF ECU's all push fit. Easy to fit, 10 minute job.

2E 8v I'm 90% sure it's Push fit.

ADY and AGG (1994-1998) 8v is soldered in, this is not easy to do and will need someone who knows what they're doing.

VR6 I'm pretty sure they're all soldered in.

thanks for the clarification, are you saying they are all a waste of time or that all except the abf are a waste of time?

And is completely pointless.
Not pointless at all. If its a push fit, for around £40 you get more torque that doing decat, exhaust and K&N. Even if it needs soldering its still good value.

 NOT pointless.  I dont think people are lying on here (me included) when they say they have noticed a

difference upon fitting one.  It might not be a huge difference, but a gain is a gain as proved by some of the

tests carried out on here with fitted and without  :rolleyes:
