ABF boys, check your ISV seal
« on: 09 March 2013, 12:39 »

Old v new. Old has disintegrated over the years and was being chewed by the engine after eventually finding it's way through the intake manifold.

Only £4 new from VW themselves.

If you unscrew the 3 allen bolts that hold the HT lead holder on and remove it, the ISV is the cylindrical aluminium but that has a hose from the airbox and it connects to the intake manifold, via this seal. Simply pull it off and the seal will come out with with it or easily with your finger
