camber time
« on: 08 March 2013, 16:48 »
off to get my camber/tracking sorted tomorrow after being happy with front coilover setup height!
the question is if i wanted to drop or raise a little bit would that mean setting up camber again or can you get away it a bit?

I had 35mm spring on mine, got it all tracked up and camber and all the rest, didn't like the drop, so I swapped them for coilovers. My steering is slightly bent, but it doesen't wear out the tyres at all. It wears em out evenly.

So I'm not sure if it will work for you.

I only asked to see the tyre arch gap, coz I'm looking to find someone who puts the clamp on the alloy wheel face, rather than over the tyre, coz no one can get their clamp over me tyre lol

GOLF-MK3-GTI you need to go some where with a Hunters tracking system. Clips onto the lip of your alloy not the tyre, cant fit a finger between my tyre and arch and they done it fine.
If you got a RSR wheels and tyres (now called STS or something) local to you, most of these have been kitted out with the Hunter systems.

+ 1 on the use of Hunter alignment equipped garages,  they should be able to set up virtually any car regardless of ride height.

do you know of any place who use these hunter systems?, I could really do with that. Going to change the rear trailing arm bushes soon and put on new rubber on front. Would love to have it all right.

Thanks for the reply mate, appreciate it.
