Odd problem
« on: 08 March 2013, 02:10 »
I decided to put this in this section, so more people may see it...
My Sig at the bottom of this thread, is an image hosted on Imageshack was kindly done by Shady some time ago,
My problem is, I can't see it when I'm on my Macbook, it disappeared the other day I noticed, I just get a blank box with a small blue square in the middle with a question mark,
Yet if I use my Iphone, or Ipad, the image is how it should be!
If I go into my "Forum profile" the IMG code is correct, and where it should be!
A quick Google revealed that others have had similar problems, and that registering on Imageshack may solve this... It didn't!
My uneducated conclusion is that my Macbook is missing a piece of software that allows the image to appear
Can anyone shed any light onto this?

Thom

What format is the image in? .gif? .jpeg? This will help identify why certain browsers can't see it. It  may just be a missing plug in. I'm using an android tablet with dolphin browser and I get the blue square aswell

I'm sure I made it a PNG but could be a JPEG. Either way it's showing on my screen Thom.  :)

Clear the cache in your browser on the mac.

Tried this Jay a few mins ago, also tried resetting Safari, and killing the power and back on again, and its still not working, double checked again on Iphone, and Ipad, and again, they're Ok
thanks every one else also for the replies, but I'm still mystified!

I have signatures turned off, so didn't notice this at first, but I can't see the image either. Use Photobucket.
