my flexi pipe on my cat on 1.8 t aum has started to blow im just wondering if you can weld a new one on and would i need to take it off the car for some one to do it

yes it can be done had to do it on my s3 but it needs to come off

just out of interest, the wire on the flexi bit has ripped open slightly. it passed the mot last year though. anyone advise on this? i'm not sure how flexi pipes work. thanks
