Just a quickie
« on: 06 March 2013, 20:29 »
I know this isn't in the VAGCOM section but no-one ever goes in there

Anyone seen this fault code before?

Ross Tech website suggests the following:

Quote
Possible Causes
Fault(s) stored in Engine Control Module

Possible Solutions
Check Engine Control Module for Fault Codes

Special Notes
Engine Control Module stored a Code which influences other Control Modules Functionality.
To clear this Fault Code you will need to correct the Problem in the Engine Control Module first.

Is that just because there was another fault code logged? Or is it likely to be something else?

There were a couple of other faults one was in the engine module - 17704 and the other one was for a faulty door lock module.

Bizarrely enough that one appeared when scanning abs module!
