I don't think the BMW ones are identical, very similar but the part where the spokes cross is thicker on the vw ones which seems to give a more curved look.

Now ive had a proper look they do look slightly different.
While we're on the subject, I have some E30 RZ's in the garage that I'm going to refurb then was going to stick them on the golf when my current tyres on my RA's need replacing. Will the RZ's stick out further being a lower offset? and does anyone know if this will cause issues?

Yes they will stick out more than RAs, expect a certain amount of scrubbing on bumpy roads or if you have a load on, OK on smooth roads (if there are any of those left anywhere, certainly not in Sheffield!). If you're at standard ride height it won't be so bad, I have a small (30mm I think) drop. I ran RZs for some time before I got sick of the scrubbing. Lovely looking wheels but just not really suitable for use around here, so I've gone to RAs now which also fit over my Wilwoods better. If you google for 'offset calculator' or something like that you should find a helpful tool that will work out the difference for you if you put the numbers in.

I sold a set of 4 BMW RZs with two centre caps, OKish condition the other week for like £110.

I have another (no centre cap) in my loft if anyone wants one

They are corrado rz's, they differ from bmw rz's in offset but also the spokes have a slight curve, the bmw are flat faced. Bmw are 7" corrado 6.5"

My car is lowered, not sure buy how much but i'd guess at -30mm as its not stupidly low.
May do a test fit if there is scrubbing issues then as it will annoy me.
£110 is cheap if the tyres are ok. As said ive seen centre caps alone go for £80+
Thanks for the help.

The ones I sold didn't have any tyres on! Yes I would definitely try it out first to see how you get on. As Gambit says lower profile tyres might help but obviously depends if you can afford to try that really!

Ah, £110 is a good result for you then.
Im going to try the wheels with the current 195/50's and see how much scrubbage i get. I  dont want to spunk £200+ on new tyres to find out they still scrub, and with 195/45's on they will be alot less sellable, the e30 homo's wont touch them as their oe size is 205/55/15.

Oh yea I should have said it was 195/50s I was using with them, personally I wouldn't go lower profile than that for comfort and as you say it's a lot of money to find out really   :undecided:
