driver side window goes down a littlw when using remote central locking

hi. iv recently brought a mk3 gti. 97 platr.
im getting used to all the nifty things it does ie windows go up when locking doors.
but was wondering...when I unlock using remote tje driver window goes down about 3 inches. why? and how to stop? also if anyone has a guide to what cool bita of german engineering the car does. would be a help.
