About a year ago I bought all the equipment and unit to start my hydro dipping business, we started taking orders in December.
What is hydro dipping?
It is a method of applying a printed design to virtually any item made from plastic, metal, glass or wood. Hydrographic printing is also known as: carbon dipping, camo dipping, immersion printing, water transfer printing, water transfer imaging, cubic printing or hydro dipping.
A polyvinyl alcohol film is gravure-printed with the graphic image to be transferred, and is then floated on the surface of water. A special activator chemical is then sprayed on the film to dissolve it into a liquid and activate a bonding agent. The item is then lowered into the water, through the floating ink layer, which wraps around and adheres to it.
Any pattern and colour combo can be added to any solid item such as interior trims, rocker covers, rims, games consoles, helmets etc...
