Rear driver window has dropped. Help!!

As above my rear driver side window has dropped. I can hear the motor, but its not bringing the window up?, ive not opened it yet.

What could be wrong?

take off the door card and have a look. most likely it's a plastic clip that's broken, should be a cheap fix if so. could be a broken cable also. only way to find out is to have a look and see what's broken  :smiley:

I'm going to have a look at it tomorow, I've parked it up in me garage for the night. One question is are the MK3 mechanism like the MK4's. Me brother MK4 window clip brown and eventually the cable chewed itself up. Coz he kept on messing about with the window switch lol,  Hope I ain't done the same to this  :cry:

even so you can get a new cable for about 12.50 and fit it to the existing mech. a little fiddly but ok to do

Okay if that is the case. I'll just get a new mechanism off eBay. So take old one out and replace it with new one. Save time doing the fiddly bit

if I'm right the MK3's are not held using rivets are they?
