Crap luck
« on: 21 February 2013, 19:43 »
Selling a car cheap as bought cheap and cbf with bodywork at the moment. Dealer comes and just go to go on a test drive and bang. There goes first gear and box won't shift to first only 2nd onwards.

Perfect timing!  Still get an offer which I managed to up significantly after saying I'd get a box or just break the thing.

Made 1550 quid on it.

Just wasn't quite the 3.5k I was hoping for.

Ah well, top marks for buying of clueless people over the moon for 150 quid!

Erm when you buy a car with serious mechanical faults for scrap value ain't exactly like it's a rip off. It has taken a fair few hours work!

Although tbf it was worth far more than 150 but if you're gonna sit there and say you wouldn't then you can sit there and lie!

I won't mention which car just incase but required ECU works, severe cleaning a subframe lower arms and a hub bearing which was a bastard.

Can't complain too mucj as was a huge profit but such a shame when you could have used the extra at finally getting somewhere self employed!

Hardly crap luck

Crap is walking into your place of work in the morning and being told to leave at the end of the day and not come back without any warning or notice or a valid reason as to why you are leaving i.e. not being sacked or made redundant
