I started looking for a product to help restore my headlights, as they're are starting to haze slightly and had some minor stone chip indents.
I have read some guides on restoring headlights using wet & dry sanding and Meguiars Scratch-X.
However, after speaking with Michael at the Polishing Booth in Leyland he recommended Meguiars Plast-RX as a nonabrasive method.
http://www.thepolishingbooth.com/accessories/meguiars-plast-r-x.htmlThe products I used are as follows:
Meguiars Quik Detailer
Meguiars Plast-RX
3M Scotch Tape
2 x microfiber cloths
7" Flexipad soft buff foam pad
Kestral DAS-6 machine polisher
PREP[/U]
I use the Meguiars Quik Detailer to remove dirt from the headlight area and wiped clean using a microfiber cloth.
I turned on the headlights so the camera could pick up the hazing and stone chip indents.

I then used the 3M Scotch Tape to cover the bodywork around the headlight.
FIRST PASS[/U]
I applied the Magiuars Plast-RX sparingly in the centre of the foam buffing pad and also around the edge. Using the machine polisher I worked the product into the affected area on the headlight. Using a slow, over lapping motion and with little pressure I covered the whole of the headlight until the product had began to haze. I then cleared away the excess using a new clean microfiber cloth.

There's a clear indication that the product is at work in these pictures.
FINAL RESULT[/U]
I repeated the above process six times on each headlight, with the final results below:

The headlight does appear to have improved, however I feel a more abrasive method is required to completely remove the hazing and stone chips. Whilst the headlights do still appear hazed while the lights are on, on with the lights turned off they do seem to be much clearer:

Meguirs Plast-RX does seem to be a good product. However it would seem it would get best results if the headlights are only lightly hazed.
