Cheers mate, how many was made in total, both petrol and diesel?
I wonder who has the lowest number one same as highest.

1800.

I could be wrong, but I think No. 0001 was wrote off, I'm not sure where No. 1800 is. There's an Anniversary register, you could check that.

You already have a mk4 I don't get the stigma with an anni for starters the seats look like sh!t it's just a nice kit and alloys on it with a badge and a number on it... Most of them are overpriced and for the money I would rather invest it in my current golf or a get a newer golf...

gotta agree whis this guy, i wouldnt pay over the odds for one. especially not a derv!

Is 60 to 80k low mileage? Personally so piling be spending that kind of money but that's up to you mate for 7k there heaps better cars out there as Barry said any car given enough time will be rare!!!  It's ure money at the end of the day but 7k for like a 10yr old car with. 60k on the clocks is madness

I'm not going to spend 7k on a golf,I'm not crazy. Lol
I just think they are nice cars that are fairly well built,I would rather have a well looked after low milage anni that a standard mk4 150. Surly the anni will be a more desirable car to sell on in a few years. More than likely worth a bit more to.

No MK4 is ever going to be a collectors item to be honest. An anni will always fetch more than a standard GTI, but the amount will decrease as the car depreciates. E.g. Lets just say there are 2 identical MK4s to buy:

1. Standard 1.8T GTI - £3k, in 5 years time worth £1k.
2. Standard 1.8T Anni - £6k, in 5 years time worth £1800-2000.

The Anni is still worth considerably more than a standard Gti, but you will have lost a lot more money on it. That's what happened with MK3's and i'm sure it will happen with MK4's as well. Is it really worth it?

it will be worth more than a standard 1.8t if they are both the same condition,an just because a car has low miles doesnt mean it will be problem free
