electric problems?

Hi,i had an on going probem with my electrics for a while now.
Dash lights flicker sometimes and when i open or close the window the headlights/dash lights dim?

Also my electric side mirrors dont work properly,they only go up otr down not side to side as well...

Any light on these problems would be of great help

Check the wiring inside the door grommet. By grommet I mean what looks like a concetina rubber tube that expands as the door opens, between the A post and the door.

First the drivers door as that gets most use.

Repair any frayed or broken wires.
If that dosent fix your problems then check battery and main earths

Wires are all good drivers side,mirror moves up down and left but not right?anyone know how to take mirror glass out to see mechs?
Where are my main earth cables?i know theres one from bonnet too wing,but i cant find a replacement part?

Lights dimming when using the windows shows signs of a weak battery,mine does it and I know my battery is on its way out.bonnet earth is not that important so don't worry about that to much,any earth strap will work, underneath the battery tray there is 2 or three main earths and theres another bolted to the bell housing and one on the coil to head,think the mirror glass just prise off ,can you hear it working and no movement as could be the switch.

Side mirror makes noise and moves up,down n left but not right. so im thinking of taking the mirror off to see why it isnt working.also ive noticed my clock on dash hss reset itself wen starting the car a few times?cheers for your help so far
