anybody used a tuning box that plugs in odb?

Just woundering if anybody use/used 1? If so are they any good?

Wouldnt trust them.

Rather put the £75 towards a proper remap.

Its just so hard to justify the money when u can get sumin like that so cheap.
I no I not lookin at it properly as its all to do with the time that gos in to the maps
Think I just gona have to wait till new intercooler an k03s is on an have her done properly lol.

Your choice mate.   If you really think a ebay plug in tuning box will make as good difference as a remap from the likes of R-tech, badger 5 etc then feel free.  Im sure anyone on here will be more than pleased to see a map as good as theirs for 1/4 of the price delivering the same SAFE results.  Post the rolling road results up / logs of sensors and sure you will have majority of the VAG world interested IF they do a good job.  Compare them to the likes of the big names and see where it stands.

I can guarantee, that 99% of the people you will talk to...would recommend a proper remap.

Sounds like your AGU if your going for k03s and FMIC....you do know a K03s on a AGU engine code requires a custom remap dont you?  There is NO 'off the shelf' map available.

no bud i didnt n it needed custom map bud. i newish to the turbo world i can strip an rebuild ecotec engines so u kind of get the level am at. but its all self lernt so sme stuff i understand an some stuff i dont.

so take it best way is to get everythink on and take her to be live mapped on a rolling road?

Or if you do, make sure it's in front of your tyres before you drive over it.

Ok ppl I take the advice. I will just wait till everythin is on the car and have her done properly
