urgent suspension advice required please

i need to replace my standard 115000 miles 20v suspension 2001 3 door

i dont wish to spend an immense amount of money to be honest, ive read that jom suspension is pretty poor but what are my options for around £300 the car wont be used on track but its an everyday driver

can someone please advise my best option for a nice drive and decent quality

do you want coilovers or a more supple suspension kit? and do you want lower?

coilies = a bit stiff ride at that price!! (but fk seem to be ok)

lowered kit = for £300 you should be able to get bilstein shockers and a choice of springs (weitec seem a good choice for comfort)

oh and remmember the driveshaft can hit the arb on the mk4, so if you want above about 30mm lowering you'll need to cost in a modified arb link

the standard ride is gash so any improvement is a blessing

i dont plan on dropping really low etc but coilovers should transform the way it drives?

There is a few options there like ap and apex etc that are in your price range with up to a 40mm drop which would be better than coils If your not planning on going uber low

I got koni shockers with h&r springs for mine 279 delivered. Am very impressed. Nuce smoith furmer ride that allows speed bumps and stones to be driven over without snapping ye back

joms arent that bad mine are fine just some people like them some people dont mine is just a bit bouncey thats all but they go low enough for me
