Larger maf clarification
« on: 14 February 2013, 20:28 »
Right so I'm adding a few more goodies to my spec for the remap and just want some clarification as its all a bit fuzzy to me......

For example
When people talk about running Saab red injectors with vr6 maf .....    are they just using the larger vr6 maf plastic housing and inserting the standard size maf electrical sensor into it?

Or are they actually using the complete vr6 maf including the vr6 electrical sensor?

Next question is....

which larger injectors & maf suit the Auq180?

If you could spec the year bracket of the vag range and model that would be ace

Cheers

AUQ would be S3 TT injectors and the MAF from the same car

AGU and vr6 sensor are the same, you can use either without issue.

For an AUQ, as above, larger maf housing from any ko4 based car, so LCR, S3, TT225.

Larger injectors from same.

Although, if you're on the stock ko3S, you don't need either, and do not stand to gain anything at all.

The most powerful ko3S I've ever known of was an AUQ with stock MAF and injectors.

It's only the AGU that needs these at 230, as it's MAF maxxes out much lower than an AUQ, and it was smaller injectors too.

Reading this I have a question to ask, I've got a AGU, I've got Saab reds, fmic, uprated fuel pump and adjustable fpr, what MAF would I need to get this running right once mapped? Any help will be greatly appreciated.
