But for the purest engine experience, displacement has no replacement. All other methods are simply attempts to artificially recreate the benefits of displacement.

This happened to me in the Audi a few years back, sat in a supermarket car park, parked well away from everyone. Some dick reverses in next to me and opens his door into my passenger door.
No 'Sorry', just glared at me and walked off. So i thought do i have a go? no i waited until he went in and slammed my door open into his fairly new mk5 golf.
Now anyone will know the old Audi's are built pretty heavy, so it left quite alot of damage on his car.
Some times not confronting someone is even more satisfying  :smug:

Someone has dinged my passenger door, extremely hard so that it has left a massive dent in it, thankfully it hit the trim so didn't scratch paint but it's not the point.

Cunts.

People just don't have respect for anything or anyone these days... Best way to handle situations like this I find is:

Nah, don't do it as you know that you'll end up worse legally.

We'll probably end up like the yanks, suing everyone for every little thing possible to make sure you're never out of pocket when someone takes the p155, not sure how successful someone would be with something like this though and most people just can't be ar55ed.

My daily is battered from trolley rash and door dings.  The only time I caught someone at it was unbelievable, door opened up against mine (bang) followed by loading their kids in, the suspension travel of doing so led to up and down marks and scratches on my door.  The woman was totally oblivious and didn't realise what she had done but was very apologetic when I pointed it out.  I let it her off since its a company car but only because of this.
