currently trying to see my car on evil bay been offered this in p/x

few things has anyone owned one? are they reliable? looking at the description how much money will it take to get running right and how much do you think its worth any help on the matter would be greatly appreciated

Really bugs me the "still an 2.0l on the log book so cheap insurance'
Insurance that is void because the car isn't what you said it was you mean!!!

Anyway, that charger kit would see 250bhp safely, no more really, and certainly no more than 220ish bhp if you've not uprated the injectors.
The map will not be cheap either.

I would say this car is a no go, kind of begs the question why he's not finished it himself  :undecided:  :huh:

in all fairness I don't think many people on here have declared all of the mods they have which all void insurance.
yeah it did look like a money pit  its not a bad start for a prodect tho I was thinking of having it sorn till summer and getting it going then :undecided:

ive seen a few turbo'd vr6s even a twin at santa pod they all have been proven  that they are reliable and I no that there are a few superchagered r32s but never seen this before ......

yeah im not sure I like them short tax and mot to add to the concerns as well I shouldn't be tempted but I am  :cry: :cry:

All of mine are declared :smug:

Anyway, I wouldn't touch that MK3 with a barge pole. The shell looks pretty rough (rear badge missing, dent in bonnet, indicator blanks missing etc.), if someone can't be bothered to sort bits like that then I wouldn't hold out much hope of the engine being well looked after - especially with an engine like this.

None declared engine conversion :shocked:

I would avoid it at all costs, if he cannot be bothered to insure it then what else has he missed or took shortcuts with.

I think you've hit the nail on the head I had to spend 1500 quid on the turbo conversion to get it running sweet I should learn from my mistakes
