how to find ECU CODE?

hi everyone

heres some piks of my ecu after i removed rain tray/cover




but where is the code,is it the tiny codes on the end of the long black plug or is it somewhere else?

i need to find out wether id have to solder a chip on or push fit?

can anyone help???

ok cheers,ill have a look tommorow.

i take it thats the underneath its on?
so ive just gotta remove 2 bolts so i can flip ecu to read code?
dont wana disconnect it as i dont know wether thatll do any harm?

Could possibly be underneath.Yeah looks like 2 bolts from the pic,and i would disconnect battery firstly.

By the way forgot to say you need a new pollen filter and a good clean of the scuttle tray. :laugh:

yh i know,i took the picture before cleaning it.looks better now but still need to hoover it out properly.
i hoovered the pollen filter,looks better and is but will replace soon...

also ive seen that thread a few times,but wanted some fresh info on the topic :)

Sorry m8,only know what i've read on that thread.Don't think i'll be getting a chip yet as my 8v is running sweet after getting the throttle body re-aligned.Be interested to find out if these chips are as good as they say tho.
