hi guys me again just bought my second 1.8t but the front seats are really dirty I want to take them out and give them a good shampoo with a wet and dry vac.
but im worried about the air bags in the seats if I unplug the air bag wire under the seats take them out clean them and put back am I going to have a air bag light come up on the dash???
or is there anything I need to watch out for i.e air bags going off as im cleaning them lol

No as long as you dont turn the ignition whilst the seat is unplugged you will be fine

I have read in haynes manual that its best to disconnect the battery for 30mins before working/unplugging any of the airbag system.
