eBay - confusion of terms...
« on: 07 February 2013, 21:52 »
I think the seller of this car may have misunderstood some of the terms in their advert....

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1987-VOLKSWAGEN-GOLF-GTI-RED-no-swops-/160969399567?_trksid=p3984.m2206&_trkparms=aid%3D222002%26algo%3DSIC.FIT%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D14002%26meid%3D5434106597311116468%26pid%3D100052%26prg%3D1061%26rk%3D2%26sd%3D290856006829%26

most notably.... "Ex show and shine..." I think this could really do with some sort of timescale to be applied to it.

"Needs a little TLC" ..... another I'm not quite sure they've understood.

Wow..... It may well have been a show and shine winner, mine won a few too, last one as recent as 1999 I think.

Sometimes listings as cr@p as this can lead you to cheap treasure, this ain't one of them.

Your link led me to THIS bargain barn find that wasn't found in a barn nor was it a find. Although apparently it is like it was when it left the factory.  Good old Wolfsburg putting out non running MK1's with suspension that wants to come through the turrets.   I know what the seller is trying to say but it's slightly wishful.
