I prefer them pipes to the 'R' pipes to be honest. Personal opinion, but I prefer the ED35 over the R. The GTI just seems better thought out, the design is more subtle but just as striking.

The problem is the price  and lack of AWD

Cabriolet versions of normal cars have never floated my boat, and who in their right mind would pay nearly £40k for a Golf of any derivative....crazy.

totally pointless car

roof chopped off and 100kg+ stiffening beams added and roof mechanism added so slower and handles worse and is noisier and you look like a knob.

its meant to be a performance car and they have gone to extremes to make it perform and look worse. whoever pays near £40k for this wants to give their head a shake

I agree with all the comments made this car is ridiculous, 8k more than the GTI cabrio  If you wanted a faster Golf Cabrio (but why would you) then get the GTI and map it.

I would be looking at Porsche Boxsters for that kind of money and getting a proper sports car

Spare cabrio shells and many many engines left over...?? Anyone would think there is a brand new Golf coming...

This ^ about sums up the entire point of this marketing exercise.
