coffee *nsfw*
« on: 07 February 2013, 08:17 »
Ok. bit of a random one.

someone at works just told me that last week he walked into the kitchen to see the cleaner re-filling the coffeee jar. but not by spoon/tipping the coffee from the box to the jar.  but by sticking her hand in and pulling a handfull out and sticking it into the jar. now any of youse who work in engineering will know the cleaners look alot less like this;
and alot more like shrek with a bad hangover.

therefore tomorow im going to start bringing in my own coffee. but decided to get proper posh instead of all this instant sh!t .

so. what coffees do you drink/recomend cause the only time ive had proper stuff is in a restraunt :D

I only drink caffeine before mid day - How gay am I!

But when I do it is Kenco Millicano, spelt something like that. It is the whole grain instant stuff. Just lovely. I bring in my own coffee also. You can get little boxes of 10 sachets for like £1, take a sachet or in 2 each day.

Job done. :smiley:

Nescafe Azera is nice. It's a barista instant coffee and has a rather smooth and creamy taste to it.

Milicano is not good IMO.  I'd say get a percolator & grounds OR get a range of the small jars of Tesco finest.  There's also iirc Carte Noir instant espresso, which is quite nice.

Buy a cafetiere (single serving one is best for portion control) and then buy any of the Taylor coffee depending on the strength that you like, they range from a 1 through to a 6. Personally I'm a 6 man 'lava java' is its name but 'lazy sunday' (3) is more than adequate for an given coffee drinker.

So for a single cafetiere...

One healthy table spoon of coffee in the cafetiere (3 in a normal sized one) and then pour in hot water and give it a quick stir and putting the lid on. DO NOT PLUNGE THE PLUNGER YET! allow around 5 min to pass, for something to do add milk and sugar as required into your cup. Waltz into the office with cup and coffee in hand, making everyone super jealous with the aroma of real coffee, plunge, pour, procrastinate.

Plenty of nice coffee out there but to keep it simple at work, you can't beat Nescafe gold blend for instant.
