misfire advice.
« on: 05 February 2013, 20:16 »
My car is running on 3 cylinders atm. whether it's idling or driving. (I haven't been driving it, only to get it home).

it's an AGU if that helps. i believe it's the 3rd cylinder thats misfiring as i disconnected the coilpack and the engine sounded the same.

i decided to change the spark plug to old ones i had lying around as i haven't had time to buy new ones.

the misfire continued, so i swapped it for another one just incase it was the spark plug again, no change.

then swapped the coilpacks over, and it's still the same cylinder.

any advice or suggestions? ignition amp? thanks.

it usually turns out to be the ignition amp, in rarer cases its an injector, slightly bent con rod or other internal goings on
