BIG BUMPER KITS

is it possible to fit fog lamps to a big bumper kit later on or do you need a specific bumper with gaps for them etc... dont have one but also dont want to get on and relise i cant add the fogs later on :S

It is possible as the holes for the fogs are covered by blanking plates, now you can either take a chisle + hammer to the plates, or drill a hole in them and jigsaw them out.

However you will need to buy the complete bracket set up, and also check that you have the spare cable connector coming off the main light loom. It's usually hidden behind the expansion tank  by the bulk head.  :smiley: :smiley:

electrics is the easy bit its finding big bumper kits that come with the fogs :S or atleast say they do

hmmm i have big bumpers, have the holes and the wiring although when i took  my bumper off there was no way on earth that the brackets would fit and i was stumped. Gutted

You have to remove the redundant front valance (from small bumper) in order to get the fogs in. The metal painted part along the front that you kept banging the lamps against - remove it! 5 screws, just make sure you leave the centre on in. I had a nightmare till i asked some guys on here!

so it is possible then? anyone got a pic of it, dont fancy taking my bumper off in a hurry again as it took hours to get it to fit back on again last time  :cry:
